Why don't people fall off the earth?
This is an assumption that the earth has a literal edge with a cliff on one side. It also assumes that you can walk right to the edge or sail to it. Don't worry, I thought that way, too.
So, what is the edge like? First, picture the earth like a record – you know the old kind LP plastic records. The centre is the North Pole (or what we call it) and the edge is where the Antarctic is. For those who have been there, knows that this whole continent is surrounded by a 100-200 foot ledge of ice and snow. This is what keeps the oceans contained.
What is in the Antarctic? Good question. The fact is, that very few people have been there. And if you travel inland, you will be stopped by the US military. So, as a private citizen, you'll never get a change to go to the edge. Who has been to the edge? Who knows. What is the edge? I can only assume but it must be something like a wall of some unknown material that keeps us in and prevents us from fall off. If this sounds far fetched, the Bible talks about the “firmament” that separates the waters from the waters. Just do a search in the Bible for the verses that says this.Military on the Antartic

Why hasn't it been reported?
To go back 500 years, when this concept of a flat earth was first proposed by Copernicus, it was reported – and quite successfully – by the Catholic and later the Protestant Churches. When they gave in (that's another topic), there were only individuals who continued to believe in the flat earth. But soon the numbers dropped off, for when you are told a lie from a child until you die, you never question it. As for now, we know how the controlled media keeps everyone in control. Look how long it took you to learn some of the other truths that the general public doesn't know. Anyhow, there are people coming forth with the truth.
If people believed in the flat earth prior to 500 years ago, what made them change?
The change did not occur overnight, it took time. As mentioned above, the churches still taught what the Bible said, but when they gave in, so did the people. Why did the churches give in? I can only assume this, but it could have been infiltration. This is not new as we read about this by the Apostle Paul where he had some trouble with the churches (false teaching, etc.), so why would we think it be any different now?
People usually follow those in authority or are told that they are our most scholarly people. So, with Copernicus, Kepler, Newton, Einstein, and, now, Stephen Hawking.
“Let not authority be your truth, but let truth be your authority.”
